Senior WordPress Developer

Experience : 4+ years | Locations : Kochi, Kerala# What we're looking forWe’re seeking a Senior WordPress / CMS Developer who will predominantly be responsible in developing and managing CMS projects alongside other projects and applications. This role demands a blend of technical skills in Back-End & Front-End development along with a keen eye for design, UX/UI integrations, and expertise in CMS platforms like WordPress, Shopify, Craft etc.As a Senior Software Engineer at White Rabbit Group you will be working alongside the UI Developers, QA Engineers, Delivery Managers & other project stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of projects with high quality.# Responsibilities- Ensuring high performance and availability, and managing all technical aspects of the CMS- Designing, develop and implementing new user-facing features and functionalities- Establishing and guiding the website’s architecture- Create CMS themes that are SEO-friendly.- Converting comprehensive layouts and wireframes into working HTML pages- Understand CSS changes and their ramifications to ensure consistent style across platforms and browsers.- Helping formulate an effective, responsive design and turn it into a working theme and plugin.- Demonstrate excellent debugging/troubleshooting skills.- Optimize website / application for maximum speed and scalability.- Work collaboratively in a group environment where good communication, judgment, independence, and timeliness are required.# Qualifications- At least 4 years experience in WordPress and/or Shopify Development, with exposure in creating Themes, Plugins, and extending core functionality.- Good understanding of Front-End technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, RWD, etc.- Expertise in WordPress multisite architecture.- Experience with WordPress security best practices, as well as familiarity with WordPress code standards and guidelines.- Experience in building user interfaces for websites and web applications.- Strong knowledge in back-end development using PHP- Knowledge of interacting with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML)- Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX.- Understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks.- Version control experiences like GIT- Familiar with package & dependency managers like NPM, Composer, etc.# Bonus Points- Experience in building AMP pages.- Knowledge of HubSpot CMS, Craft CMS, and Drupal.- Experience in building custom Gutenberg block / block pattern development.- Experience with Google Analytics and HubSpot Analytics.- Experience in Headless Architecture.# Benefits- Hybrid WFH policy- Health insurance- Annual company retreat- 40+ Paid Off Days- Year-end leave encashment
