Wi-Fi System Architect

We are seeking an experienced Wi-Fi System Architect to join our R&D team. The ideal candidate will have 12-15 years of hands-on experience in Wi-Fi system development, with a deep understanding of Wi-Fi technology, Wi-Fi cloud controller architecture, Wi-Fi chipsets, software, networking, and enterprise deployment. This role requires a strategic thinker who can design and implement cutting-edge Wi-Fi solutions to not only meet our clients’ current needs but also envisage future product trends and accordingly design the products.
Key Responsibilities
Shall be responsible to:
1.
Lead the design and development of Wi-Fi systems, ensuring high performance, reliability, and scalability.
2.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and specifications.
3.
Define the architecture of the products, select the final design approach and choose various technologies to be used after evaluating various options available, finally take a decision of overall software and hardware design.
4.
Based on the final architecture, develop and maintain Wi-Fi architecture documentation, including design diagrams, technical specifications, and deployment guides.
5.
Conduct thorough testing and validation of Wi-Fi systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
6.
Drive 3rd party integrations to complete the solution meeting customer requirements.
7.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.
8.
Stay updated with the latest advancements in Wi-Fi technology and integrate relevant innovations into our products.
9.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex Wi-Fi system issues in a timely manner.
10.
Engage with PLM and Sales teams to understand customer needs and provide expert advice on Wi-Fi solutions.

Ready to sell / deploy high-quality, reliable, and scalable Wi-Fi products and integrated end-to-end Wi-Fi network solutions.

Comprehensive Wi-Fi system architecture and design documentation.

Detailed test plans and validation reports.

Technical training materials and mentorship programs for team members.
5.
Interacting with manufacturing and NPI teams to ensure DFM.
6.
Regular updates and reports on project progress and technical challenges.

Continuous improvements in products with new and enhanced feature sets matching industry competition and standards

Mandatory Skills/ Certification
•
In-depth knowledge of Wi-Fi standards (802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be) and protocols.

Proficiency in hardware design and development for Wi-Fi systems.

Strong understanding of software development, including firmware and driver development.
•
Strong understanding of Wi-Fi system architecture in various deployment scenarios.
•
Strong understanding of cloud-based controllers.
•
Expertise in networking concepts, including IP addressing, routing, and switching.
•
Experience with enterprise Wi-Fi deployment and management.
•
Familiarity with security protocols and best practices for Wi-Fi networks.
•
