Project Manager with skills Project Management (DXP), Network Architecture, Project Management (SE), TPM for location Noida, India Posted on: November 12, Share on Linkedin Share on Twitter Share on Facebook ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES The Technical Project Manager (TPM) will be responsible for end-to-end planning, coordination, execution, and delivery of field-level infrastructure projects involving critical data center components. This includes server installations, storage setups, network deployments (Spine-Leaf architecture), and backup infrastructure such as Veritas. The TPM ensures the right technical outcomes are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with customer and business requirements. Key Roles & Responsibilities: 1. Project Planning & Scope Definition • Define and document project scope, objectives, and deliverables specific to data center hardware and support services. • Break down large infrastructure initiatives into executable tasks across field teams, OEMs, and integrators. • Establish deployment schedules, resource plans, and risk mitigation strategies for each site or client engagement. 2. Cross-Functional Coordination • Act as the central point of coordination between field engineers, OEMs, internal technical architects, and SI side stakeholders. • Coordinate logistics and readiness of physical equipment (servers, switches, storage, backup appliances) across multiple sites or regions. • Oversee service readiness, pre-deployment checks, and configuration validation prior to dispatch or installation. 3. Technical Oversight & Delivery Assurance • Ensure successful execution of deployment plans. • Validate implementation against high-level design (HLD) and low-level design (LLD) documents. • Support change management, version control, and documentation sign-oA for production rollouts. 4. Field Services & Resource Management • Assign field resources to tasks based on skill, location, and workload. • Ensure engineers are equipped with the right tools, documentation, and access credentials. • Track time spent on each engagement and align with service-level agreements (SLAs). 5. Vendor & OEM Engagement • Liaise with OEMs for escalations, firmware recommendations, hardware compatibility, and support coordination. • Track service calls, RMA replacements, and warranty cases to closure. 6. Quality Control & Reporting • Review all deployment tasks for completion and adherence to standards (e.g., cabling, power layout, network zoning, BIOS/BMC setup). • Maintain checklists, acceptance test protocols (ATP), and signoA documents from end-customers. • Provide periodic project status reports (weekly/monthly) to leadership and client SPOCs. 7. Cost Control & Budget Tracking • Align technical execution with approved BoM and service PoCs (proof of concepts). • Track actual vs. estimated labor utilization for each deployment project. • Identify and escalate any cost overruns, resource bottlenecks, or scope creep.
