About the Role
We are seeking a skilled QA Engineer with expertise in manual and automation testing to join our dynamic team. Key Responsibilities
Manual Testing:
Create, execute, and maintain detailed test plans and test cases based on product requirements.
Perform functional, integration, regression, and exploratory testing.
Validate complex financial models and workflows for valuations and compliance modules.
Automation Testing:
Develop and maintain automation frameworks using tools like Selenium, Cypress, or similar.
Automate critical test scenarios to improve efficiency and coverage.
Perform API testing using tools like Postman, REST Assured, or SoapUI.
Compliance and Strategy Testing:
Validate regulatory compliance workflows to ensure accuracy and adherence to standards.
Test strategy modeling and analytics tools for correctness and performance.
Defect Management:
Log and track defects using tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or Trello.
Collaborate with development teams to analyze root causes and ensure timely resolution.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with product managers, developers, and domain experts to understand requirements.
Provide regular updates on test progress and quality metrics to stakeholders.
Quality Improvements:
Suggest and implement improvements in QA processes, tools, and methodologies.
Stay informed about the latest testing tools and techniques.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
2-4 years of hands-on experience in manual and automation testing in a product-based environment.
Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing lifecycle (STLC).
Proficiency in automation tools like Selenium, Appium, or Cypress.
Knowledge of SQL for validating data and testing financial models.
Experience with bug tracking tools (JIRA, TestRail, etc.).
Basic understanding of CI/CD processes and version control tools like Git.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in testing fintech / analytics products.
Knowledge of regulatory frameworks relevant to compliance testing.
Familiarity with cloud environments like Azure, or GCP.
Exposure to performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
The candidate that will succeed in this position will be able to create all the testing and automation frameworks as required for their projects. Thus, the candidate may have to work on multiple projects once, also working to improve the company's best practices from a testing a standpoint.
