Shift Timing: 2 PM to 11 PM (IST)

Work Type: Hybrid (Presently WFH)

Tech Skills Required:

  • Experience in data engineering
  • Expertise in AWS data services, Python, ML, Cloud, and SQL, machine learning services, and cloud-native architectures.

We are looking for an Principal Data Engineer to lead our team and drive-innovation in data engineering, machine learning, and large language models (LLMs). The ideal candidate/ you will be a strategic expert with deep technical expertise and experience in delivering cutting-edge solutions.

The project in which you will be assigned is a data engineering effort to support the current Data Science and Engineering team.

You will report to the Principal Data Quality Engineer.

The application , hosted in AWS, includes EC2, S3, Lambda, Athena, DymanoDB, OpenSearch, CloudWatch, GLUE, Bedrock, SageMaker, Kendra, Amazon Q, Claude from Anthropic Titan Embeddings from in AWS, Python 3, Langchain, and Streamlit

Must have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10+ years of extensive experience in data engineering, with a proven track record of delivering large-scale, complex data solutions.
  • Deep expertise in AWS data services, machine learning services, and cloud-native architectures.
  • Extensive knowledge of machine learning frameworks, libraries, and large language models (LLMs), with hands-on experience implementing and deploying LLM-based solutions.
  • Experience with data quality practices, data governance, and data lineage management.
  • Management skills with the ability to inspire and mentor teams, and lead strategic initiatives.
  • Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience in managing teams and projects.
  • Proven ability to stay current with latest technologies, trends, and best practices in data engineering and machine learning.

Desirable Skills:

  • Advanced degree (Master's or Doctorate)- Good to have
  • Experience with AWS machine learning services
  • Knowledge of machine learning frameworks, libraries, and large language models (LLMs), with hands-on experience implementing and deploying LLM-based solutions.
  • Contributions to open-source projects or thought leadership in data engineering, machine learning, or LLMs (e.g., publications, conference presentations, blog posts).
  • Experience with streaming data processing and real-time data pipelines.
  • Familiarity with MLOps and model deployment processes.
  • Knowledge of cloud-native architectures and serverless computing.
  • Experience with Apache Spark and distributed data processing frameworks.
