General Manager

Responsible for leading and overseeing the operational and business functions within the division. This role demands a combination of technical acumen, customer relationship, management experience and strong leadership skills to ensure business growth and achieve organizational goals.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
- Customer Relation Management- Leadership & Strategy- Business Development- Supervision and Team Management
RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Provide strategic direction for the Rigid Packaging Division in alignment with the overall company goals.- Identify new business opportunities within the rigid packaging sector, building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders especially at owner level or General Manager level.- Build constant relation at higher level with OEM, supplier of equipment and industrial solutions, competitors, brand owner, bottlers.- Identify opportunities for new product development, machine models and services to better meet the demands of the Indian market.- Provide strategic business advisory, oversee account management and conduct in-depth business and market analysis to drive growth and align with market needs.- Collaborate with sales, after sales and marketing teams to develop strategies for market penetration and customer satisfaction.- Oversee and coordinate the commercial operations to ensure alignment with the team and business objectives.- Foster a collaborative and results-driven work environment.- Mentor and develop leadership within the division, ensuring transparent communication and professional growth.- Develop and implement strategies to enhance response efficiency, optimize problem-solving capabilities and elevate customer satisfaction.- Serve as the primary point of contact for reporting progress, operational updates and key performance metrics to the headquarters in Italy, ensuring clear and consistent communication.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
ESSENTIAL: BE Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics
DESIRABLE: Diploma/ Degree in Management with marketing as specialization
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
ESSENTIAL:
- 15 – 25 years in BEVERAGE / Rigid Packaging / Engineering / Service Industries / Automation / Automobile- Experience in all aspects of sales & marketing of industrial machinery.- Technical skills- Proven experience in customer relation management- Good exposure in managing big team and people management
DESIRABLE:
- Relevant product and industry knowledge- Experience of handling and managing 100 people in an organisation- Experience with relevant software applications like SAP, CRM
DESIRABLE SKILL SETS:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills- Good Management skills- Organization and planning- Problem analysis and problem-solving- Persuasiveness & Adaptability- Judgment & Decision-making- Stress tolerance- Collaboration- Willingness to travel- Strong Leadership
