About the Role:

Aftershoot is a leading AI post-processing software company with over 100,000 users and tens of thousands of customers. We’re seeking a Video Content Specialist to lead our YouTube growth and expand our TikTok presence. In this role, you'll drive our video strategy, work closely with photographers and content creators, and build a strong community on video platforms. Your work will be key to creating videos that engage, educate, and grow our audience.

Responsibilities :

  • Lead the growth strategy for Aftershoot's YouTube, focusing on increasing viewership and subscribers
  • Develop and execute video content strategies that resonate with photographers and drive channel growth
  • Build and manage relationships with photographers and creators for collaborative video projects
  • Write compelling video briefs, scripts, and hooks for creators that align with our brand
  • Research and apply trending topics and formats in the photography and tech space
  • Collaborate with the social media manager to repurpose long-form content into engaging short-form videos for TikTok & Instagram
  • Partner with the product marketing team to create educational videos showcasing Aftershoot’s features
  • Produce how-to videos and tutorials to help users maximize their Aftershoot experience
  • Track and analyze video metrics to optimize content strategy and drive engagement
  • Manage a content calendar to ensure consistent publishing and alignment with marketing goals
  • Create and execute video distribution strategies to broaden reach and engagement
  • Optimize videos for discovery, including titles, descriptions, thumbnails, and tags
  • Build strong connections within the photography community to enhance brand awareness
  • Stay up-to-date with YouTube trends and algorithm changes
  • Coordinate with the marketing team to ensure video content aligns with broader objectives

Qualifications :

  • 3-5 years in YouTube content strategy, video production, or similar role
  • Proven success in growing YouTube channels and building engaged audiences
  • Strong knowledge of YouTube analytics, SEO, and growth strategies
  • Skilled in creating effective video briefs and working with external creators
  • Excellent scriptwriting and storytelling skills
  • Proficiency with video editing tools like Adobe Premiere Pro or After Effects
  • Experience creating short-form content for TikTok or similar platforms
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives
  • Photography industry knowledge and familiarity with post-processing workflows are a plus
