Job Description :

- 6+ years Quality Assurance experience.

- API Testing, UI Testing

- Postman tool handling

- Database testing.


- A good understanding of SQL able to create SQL scripts to obtain required data.

- Basic understanding of cloud platform

- Linux experience (QA person should know the Linux basic commands to debug if there is a need.)

- Docker/Kubernetes experience

- DevOps understanding (Git, CI/CD etc.)

Leadership & Team Management :

- Lead and mentor a team of manual testers in API testing practices and methodologies.

- Coordinate and assign tasks, set priorities, and manage workloads to ensure timely and accurate test execution.

- Provide training and support to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

API Testing Strategy & Execution :

- Develop and implement comprehensive API testing strategies and plans to ensure the quality and functionality of APIs.

- Design, execute, and maintain manual test cases and scenarios for APIs, including functional, integration, and regression testing.

- Identify and document test cases, test data, and test environments.

Collaboration & Communication :

- Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand API requirements and specifications.

- Facilitate regular meetings and status updates with cross-functional teams to address testing progress, issues, and risks.

- Act as a liaison between the QA team and other departments to ensure alignment on testing objectives and deliverables.

Issue Identification & Reporting :

- Identify, document, and track defects and issues discovered during testing.

- Provide detailed reports on test results, defect status, and overall API quality.

- Collaborate with development teams to reproduce, troubleshoot, and resolve issues.

Process Improvement :

- Continuously evaluate and improve testing processes, tools, and methodologies.

- Advocate for best practices in API testing and contribute to the development of QA standards and guidelines.

Qualifications :

Education & Experience :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- 5+ years of experience in manual testing, with a focus on API testing.

- 2+ years of experience in a leadership or team lead role within a QA or testing environment.

Technical Skills :

- Strong understanding of API concepts, RESTful APIs, and web services.

- Proficiency in using API testing tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or similar.

- Experience with test management tools like JIRA, TestRail, or similar.

Soft Skills :

- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

- Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with automated API testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JMeter).

- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, or similar.
