Automation Tech Lead

Role Overview:We are looking for an experienced Automation Tech Lead to drive automation strategy, design scalable frameworks, and lead a team of automation engineers. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality software through automation. Key Responsibilities: Define and implement automation strategy across projects. Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks (UI and API testing). Collaborate with QA, DevOps, and development teams to integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines. Mentor and guide automation engineers, ensuring best practices and coding standards. Analyze test results, troubleshoot issues, and provide actionable insights. Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and processes for continuous improvement. Ensure automation coverage and scalability for multiple applications and environments. Required Skills & Qualifications: Strong proficiency in Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar tools. Expertise in Java, Python, or JavaScript for automation scripting. Hands-on experience with API testing tools (Postman, RestAssured). Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps). Knowledge of Docker and containerizing solutions. Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). Solid understanding of test design principles, BDD/TDD frameworks (Cucumber). Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills. Nice to Have: Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling). Knowledge of security testing and accessibility testing . Exposure to AI/ML-based test automation trends. Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field. Alight requires all virtual interviews to be conducted on video.
