Vedanta Aluminium operates a world-class 1.8 MTPA aluminium smelter and 3,615 MW thermal power generation facility in Jharsuguda, Odisha. The only Indian smelter in the global ‘1 Million Tonne’ production and export club, Vedanta Jharsuguda is a leader in value-added aluminium products that find critical applications across core industries. To partner with us in this exciting journey and unlock new values for the business, we are looking for passionate professionals in the position of Deputy Chief Commercial Officer, Vedanta Jharsuguda.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES: -
Develop & implement commercial strategies in line with company goals and objectives to achieve accelerated growth
Conduct market research & analysis to create detailed business plan on commercial opportunities
Understand and develop a strategy to align organizational needs & sourcing requirements for Spares, Services, Growth, Sustaining Capex, Inbound & Outbound Logistics.
Embrace the implementation of new technologies, digitalization, innovation, analytics with focus on 100% online buying
Manage vendor relations (New & Existing)
Ensure strong focus on buying spares, commodities & services at right cost, quality & volume
Ensure highest standard of governance while ensuring optimization of spend base($500 Million), margin protection & output linked contracting.
Ensure compliance to all statutory requirements & group policies to mitigate potential risk.
Lead the drive on vendor consolidation
Support the commercial head in development of team & successors
CRITERIA:
60% and above throughout the education
B.E. /B.Tech. /MBA
15+ years of experience in large manufacturing organization
Expert knowledge of procurement, vendor management & statutory compliances
Hand on experience in managing & developing national & international vendors
