WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced AWS Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AWS cloud services along with experience in designing, implementing, and managing AWS cloud infrastructure to ensure scalability, reliability, and security. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with a range of AWS services, infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools, and automation techniques. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast- paced environment are essential. If you are passionate about cloud technology and enjoy building robust, scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities: The key responsibilities of an AWS Cloud Engineer include:

1. Implementing Cloud Solutions: Deploying and configuring AWS services such as Amazon,

DevOps services, Amazon ECS/EKS, AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM), AWS Well-

Architected Framework, etc., according to best practices and industry standards.

2. Managing Cloud Resources: Managing cloud resources to optimize performance, cost-

effectiveness, and resource utilization.

3. Automating Processes: Understanding of automation scripts and infrastructure-as-code (IaC)

templates using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation to streamline provisioning,

deployment, and configuration management.


4. Troubleshooting: Monitoring cloud infrastructure for performance and availability, and

troubleshooting issues via analysing logs to minimize downtime and ensure reliability.

5. Collaborating with Teams: Working closely with cross-functional teams, including

developers, system administrators, and DevOps engineers, to understand requirements and

develop solutions that meet business needs.

6. Staying Updated: Keeping up-to-date with AWS services, features, and best practices, and

evaluating new technologies to recommend improvements and optimizations.

7. Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Documenting cloud architecture, configurations,

and processes, and sharing knowledge with team members to ensure continuity and

facilitate collaboration.

8. Incident Response: Participating in on-call rotation and responding to incidents promptly,

implementing remediation measures, and contributing to post-incident reviews for

continuous improvement.

Qualifications / Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

- 3+ years of experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role.

- Hands-on in AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, VPC, etc.

- Understanding of infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.

- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

- Hands-on experience with Linux/Unix systems administration.

- Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, etc.).

- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

- AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer) are a

plus.
