About the Role The Senior Associate BCP must demonstrate hands on experience in managing business continuity program that addresses disaster recovery, business continuity and emergency response management. The responsibilities/deliverables associated with the position are as follows: Responsibilities Help project and support teams to document their BCP plan, DR plan & emergency response plan. Perform BC/DR risk assessments to identify SPOFs and potential threats to business. Perform Business Impact Analysis to identify critical Business Processes, Applications, Maximum Acceptable Outage, Recovery Time Objective, and Recovery Point Objective etc. Develop Business Continuity Recovery Plans to address failure scenarios and recovery strategies. Works closely with technology teams to understand and develop the appropriate disaster recovery strategies across IT infrastructure, critical business applications and additional technology service. Execute recovery and restoration of critical applications using relevant tools. Develop, produce and update BCP/DR materials and documentation (e.G., recovery plans, call trees, test results, etc.) Execute Simulation tests, tabletop exercises and DR/technology recovery tests. To monitor and report compliance to BCM processes. Assist during client audits and visits. Ensure quality deliverables and client satisfaction. Serves as a point of contact for project and support teams for BCP/DR. Ensure effective stakeholder engagement both locally and globally. Cultivates relationships across internal teams and works towards building professional networks. Builds a positive, transparent, collaborative working environment for the team. Time management to ensure project or non-project related deliverables are completed in a timely fashion. Qualifications Bachelors or Master’s degree in IT, science, math, engineering, computers, security or related field. 3-5 years of experience in managing Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery programs. Technical certifications such as CBCP, DRM is a plus. Working knowledge of any off the shelf BCP/DR product will be an advantage. Solid understanding of business continuity, disaster recovery and emergency response methodologies and framework. Use of computer, speaking on telephone, writing, occasional lifting of files or light boxes. Some business travel, primarily in the geography the role is based out of. May be required to work late hours sometime for coordination with other geographies. Not required regularly, only on a need basis. Strong oral communications and writing skills are a must. Experience in managing projects independently. Must be a self-starter with strong organizational skills to enable navigation of the company to identify sponsors, stakeholders and interested parties. Ability to identify security risk management opportunities with clients and propose solutions that meet the clients’ needs. A ‘can do’ attitude team player who works well under pressure and with dispersed groups, worldwide.
