A VNA (Very Narrow Aisle) Operator's job is to safely and efficiently operate specialized forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve goods in a warehouse environment with narrow aisles. - VNA Forklift Operation:Safely and accurately operate Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) forklifts for picking, put-away, and retrieval of goods.
- Product Storage:Efficiently and accurately store products and pallets in designated warehouse locations, ensuring optimal space utilization.
- Inventory Management:Perform stock counts and maintain accurate records of goods, reporting any discrepancies to the supervisor.
- Safety & Cleanliness:Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, keeping the equipment and workspace clean and organized to prevent accidents.
- Equipment Checks:Conduct routine checks on VNA equipment and report any faults or required maintenance.
- Order Processing:Process incoming and outgoing orders by placing items in their designated storage areas.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
- Experience:Prior experience operating a VNA forklift in a warehouse setting is typically mandatory.
- Safety Awareness:A fundamental understanding of warehouse safety procedures and protocols is crucial.
- Attention to Detail:A high level of precision is needed to ensure products are placed accurately and inventory is correct.
- Spatial Awareness:Strong spatial awareness is required to navigate and operate safely within narrow aisles.
- Communication Skills:Good verbal communication skills are necessary for coordinating with team members and supervisors.
