Overview:

Key responsibilities:

1. Experience in the bedding department of Home Textiles, with a focus on top-of-the-bed products designed for the aesthetic preferences of the UK and US markets.2. Profound understanding of textile materials, with a specialization in fabric construction and a preference for candidates with extensive knowledge of weaving techniques.3. Expertise in various sampling techniques, weaving, printing, surface design techniques, and dyeing.4. The preferred candidate would have expertise in weaving.5. Commitment to staying abreast of the latest industry trends and innovations, with a keen ability to incorporate these into design projects effectively.6. Proficiency in a range of design software, such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CAD software, and AI tools, to create visually compelling designs.7. Exceptional artistic ability, demonstrating quick turnaround times in creating original artworks.8. Detailed attention to the intricacies of weaving and fabric construction, ensuring the highest quality in textile design.9. Proven organizational and leadership skills, with a proactive and collaborative approach to project management.

Candidate Profile:

1. Degree in Textile Design from esteemed institutions like NID or National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT).2. Capable of comprehending buyer requirements and delivering CADs and artwork within set timelines.3. Proficient in English, with strong communication skills and knowledge of Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).4. Experienced with design software including Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.5. A minimum of 5 years of experience in the Home Textiles sector, preferably with a portfolio that highlights expertise in the export market.6. Strong knowledge in weaving techniques is highly preferable, indicating an extensive understanding of textile production and design complexities.
