Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, customize, and maintain Websites using CorePHP and Wordpress (Great to have knowledge of other CMS like: Magento, Laravel, Joomla etc)
  • Write clean, secure, and optimized PHP code following best practices.
  • Create Custom modules for Wordpress. Customization of Wordpress sites using pre-built plugin, third party plugins or custom made modules
  • Integrate third-party APIs and custom modules into WordPress.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve backend issues efficiently.
  • Collaborate with front-end developers, designers, and project managers to deliver high-quality projects on time.
  • Optimize backend performance for scalability and efficiency.
  • Maintain proper documentation for all development work.

Core PHP Development:
- Designing, developing, and maintaining robust and scalable web applications using Core PHP.
- Writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices.
- Integrating front-end elements with server-side logic and database interactions (e.g., MySQL).
- Troubleshooting and debugging complex PHP applications.
- Optimizing application performance and ensuring security.

WordPress Development :

  • Developing custom WordPress themes and plugins from scratch.
  • Customizing existing themes and plugins to meet specific project requirements.
  • Integrating third-party APIs and services within WordPress.
  • Ensuring website performance, security, and SEO optimization within the WordPress environment.
  • Managing WordPress installations, updates, and maintenance.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving WordPress-specific issues.

Collaboration and Project Management:

  • Collaborating with designers, front-end developers, and other team members.
  • Participating in project planning, code reviews, and deployment processes.
  • Communicating technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Min 4 years of Experience in PHP Core and Wordpress Development.
  • Extensive experience in Core PHP development: with a strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles.
  • Proven experience with WordPress, including custom theme and plugin development, and familiarity with its architecture, hooks, and APIs.
  • Proficiency in front-end technologies: such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (including jQuery and potentially modern frameworks like Angular, React or ).
  • Strong knowledge of database systems, particularly MySQL, including schema design and query optimization.
  • Experience with version control systems: like Git.
  • Understanding of web security best practices: and performance optimization techniques.
  • Problem-solving skills: and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A portfolio showcasing relevant projects: demonstrating both Core PHP and WordPress expertise is often preferred.
