Job Summary
We are looking for a passionate and student-focused
Student Counsellor
to join our team at
VYTCDC
. In this role, you will be responsible for guiding students through their academic and career decisions, helping them choose suitable courses and training programs, and supporting them throughout the admissions process. You'll work closely with students, parents, and internal teams to ensure a smooth and supportive learning journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide career and academic counselling to prospective students based on their interests, qualifications, and goals
- Conduct one-on-one counselling sessions to understand student needs and recommend suitable programs
- Guide students and parents through the admissions process, including documentation and fee structures
- Maintain consistent follow-up with potential leads to ensure timely enrollment and conversion
- Coordinate with academic and operations teams to ensure a seamless onboarding experience for new students
- Maintain accurate and updated records of student interactions, feedback, and progress
- Participate in student outreach activities such as webinars, seminars, and educational events
- Offer basic emotional and academic support; escalate serious concerns to relevant departments
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a training institute, career development center, or educational consultancy
- Knowledge of current industry trends, academic programs, and vocational training opportunities
