A Senior Engineer - SSD Software is responsible for testing and automation of test tools, framework & drivers, maintenance of existing test framework - tools & drivers and continual improvement of SSD validation test coverage.

Responsibilities & Tasks

Evaluate, develop, and debug complex test methodsDesign and develop test automation frameworks to expand test coverage and failure predictionDesign and develop test cases for new features on Client & Enterprise SSD programsAnalyze customer issues with emphasis on driving test hole closure activitiesUse your strong scripting language skills for automating tests and shortening qualification cyclesEnhance, develop, and execute test scripts on host systems to uncover drive hardware and firmware/ host issues with SSDs

Qualifications

Proficiency programming with C / C++ / PythonAbility to understand and debug interface protocols (SATA, SAS, NVMe)GUI, CLI tools test execution and automation experienceUnderstanding of Windows and UNIX / Linux server storage environmentsTriage/ debug of issues found during test executionA high level of self-motivation, and dedication to find creative solutions to difficult problemsThe ability to work well on a team based in different worldwide locationsThe ability to multitask effectively in fast-paced environmentExcellent communication and interpersonal skills

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical and/or Computer Engineering5+ years of experience in Manual and Automation test execution, preferably in Storage area on Windows & Linux OS5+ years of experience in test framework development using Python
