PhD Scholars registered with any university in India or abroad in a relevant academic discipline, currently employed or doing projects in specifically identified areas (Currently pursuing PhD).Place of Work:

BangaloreWe are currently looking for a Model based Developer to join the Powertrain TeamAs a Model Based developer you will be working over the whole span of activities of embedded system design and development. For instance, you will be working on ICE,H2,etc..This is us, your new colleaguesThis position is within GTT (Group Trucks Technology) Powertrain Engineering where we work with multiple systems and components within design, development of our products for various trucks and bus ranges supporting global sites in both medium-duty and heavy-duty areas.“The Volvo Group culture is defined by a set of five carefully chosen values- Customer success, Trust, Passion, Change, and Performance. Every team plans their own work in and deliver solutions together as a team. We take influences from SAFe and practice Agile methods and have the agile manifesto as guiding principles on how we work. We mostly use graphical programing tools such as Simulink or ASCET so that we can focus on the products we develop.Who are you?To be successful in this position you need to be a team player and have an analytic mindset of a true problem solver.You are experience/understanding from the automotive industry, system development, software development or you are a Function Developer with great attitude working cross functional and have a willingness to learn and take more responsibility.Required skills and experience:Good Knowledge on Model Based developmentAutomotive Understanding from the propulsion domain (combustion engines, EATS, driveline, electromobility…)Bachelors/Masters in Electronics /Phd in Electrical & Electronics / Control system Engineering or equivalentExcellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written.MeritAutomotive experience, MATLAB/Simulink model development, Target link, C, Embedded SW/HW, Control theory, HIL CAN, LIN, ISO 26262, J1939, AUTOSAR, Systems Engineering, Python.Preferred: Function/SW development for Powertrain products understanding the technical aspects of a transmission.Leadership CompetenciesTechnical LearningAction OrientedGood communication skillsLeadership skills, delegation, mentoring and coachingProfessional SkillsMulti-taskingPriority settingExperience in cross-functional managementStrong demonstrated self- managed to learn
