to build control and imaging software, unifying the application, user experience, data pipelines, and reliability for seamless operation.

Your mission

Make a complex instrument feel simple. Build the control software that delivers quick first image, synchronized multi-channel acquisition, and analysis-ready data with rich metadata, wrapped in an approachable UI.

What you'll do

  • Own the control application that unifies imaging, analytics, motion, safety, and diagnostics.
  • Implement a high-throughput, lossless data pipeline with structured metadata and reproducible export.
  • Design guided workflows (smart defaults, prompts, checks) so new users are productive immediately.
  • Add self-tests, logs, and acceptance wizards that shorten service loops and de-risk installs.
  • Collaborate with Electronics and Optics to validate features end-to-end and raise the quality bar.

Who you are

  • Shipped software for instruments or devices. Strong in concurrency, I/O, and data modeling.
  • Thoughtful about UX for technical users. Pragmatic about reliability, installers, and updates.
  • Comfortable integrating with FPGAs/DAQs and writing clean APIs for scripting.

How we'll know it's working

  • Users achieve a first image quickly with minimal steps.
  • Zero-loss captures and trustworthy metadata over long sessions.
  • Acceptance checks are fast and repeatable. Low bug escape.
