To enhance our R&D capabilities, we are looking for an experienced

Branch Manager R&D / Solar Off-grid Solutions (m/f/d)

to join our company as soon as possible.

LOCATION:

Mumbai, India

POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are looking for an experienced and visionary Branch Manager to establish and lead our R&D team in Mumbai. This role will focus on building a high-performing team of about 20 engineers, specializing in software development, electronic and mechanical hardware development for solar off-grid solutions such as solar lighting and solar IoT poles. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing R&D departments for software and electronics HW of similar size.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Establish and lead the hei R&D branch in Mumbai, including infrastructure as well as hiring, training, and managing a team of about 20 engineers.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for the R&D branch in alignment with HEI company goals.
  • Oversee the design, development, testing, technical documentation of innovative solar off-grid products with special focus on innovative software solutions.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment that encourages continuous improvement and technical excellence.
  • Closely collaborate with the hei headquarters in Vienna, Austria, to align R&D efforts with overall company objectives.
  • Manage R&D resources effectively to optimize team productivity and project outcomes.

YOUR QUALIFICATION & SKILLS:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Software Development, Electronic Hardware Development, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in leading an R&D department for SW / HW development with a team size of at least 10 employees.
  • Exceptional leadership and team-building skills.
  • Excellent project management and organizational abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and solve complex problems.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and hardware development tools and technologies.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Enthusiasm for innovative, environmental-friendly products
