Job Description – Backend Engineer (Node JS + Type Script + Databases) We are looking for a Backend Engineer with 3–4 years of experience to join our team at Convert Cart. This role is perfect for someone who loves working with data, solving problems, and writing clean, scalable code. What you’ll work on: Building and improving backend services using Node JS with Type Script (mandatory). Working deeply with databases – writing complex queries, optimising performance, and designing efficient schemas (SQL required, No SQL is a plus). Designing and scaling APIs (REST/Graph QL). Writing clean, testable code and keeping performance in mind. Using AI-powered coding tools (like Windsurf, Copilot, etc.) to move faster and smarter. What we’re looking for: Strong knowledge of databases – queries, indexing, schema design, and optimisation. Hands-on experience with Type Script and Node JS (must have). 3–4 years of backend development experience (preferred). Good problem-solving and debugging skills. Curious and eager to keep learning new tools and technologies. Familiarity with modern engineering practices: CI/CD pipelines. Docker and cloud platforms. Bonus: Experience with caching (Redis), message queues (Kafka/Rabbit MQ), or serverless functions.
