Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in Chennai for a
Lead Structural Design Engineer - Substation
. The Lead Structural Design Engineer will be responsible for leading and overseeing the structural design team, developing and reviewing structural designs, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards, coordinating with other engineering disciplines, providing technical guidance, and ensuring the timely delivery of quality outputs. The Engineer will also participate in project meetings, assist in preparing project proposals, and support the construction team during project implementation.

Qualifications

  • Experience with substation design
    is mandatory
  • Proficiency in structural design and analysis software such as
    STAAD.Pro, ETABS, and SAFE.
  • Familiarity with relevant codes and standards, including
    IS codes, Eurocodes, and ACI codes.
  • Project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies and material properties.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with various stakeholders.
  • A B
    achelor's degree in Civil Engineering
    or a related field is required, with a master's degree preferred.
  • Prior experience in leading design teams and managing large-scale construction projects is advantageous.
