Role Overview:


Role - Category Associate( Merchandising Experience is an added advantage)

Location - Bangalore



The Category Associate will be responsible for developing and managing the gold jewelry category at GIVA. This includes product development, supplier management, market research, pricing, inventory control, and sales performance analysis. You will collaborate closely with the design, merchandising, marketing, and operations teams to ensure the category meets customer needs and achieves business objectives.


Category Development :


  • Work with internal teams (design, merchandising, production) to develop collections that align with customer preferences and trends.
  • Conduct market research to identify key trends, competitor offerings, and customer insights.
  • Ensure timely launches of new products and collections.


Inventory & Sales Management :


  • Monitor inventory levels per store and work with the inventory management team & store team to ensure optimal stock levels.
  • Analyse sales data to assess category performance, identify opportunities for growth, and optimize product assortment.
  • Work closely with the e-commerce and retail teams to maximize the category’s visibility and sales.


Maintaining COGS & Pricing :


  • Collaborate with the finance and merchandising teams to establish pricing strategies that balance competitiveness with profitability.
  • Track margins and profitability for each product within the category


Collaboration with Marketing :


  • Partner with the marketing team to develop campaigns that promote gold products.
  • Contribute to content development for product descriptions, promotions, and digital marketing initiatives to drive traffic and conversion.


Reporting & Analysis :


  • Provide regular reports on category performance, including sales, margin analysis, and market trends.
  • Proactively propose actions to improve category performance and achieve business objectives.


Tech Changes:


  • Work with the tech team to ensure optimum tool build for inventory inwards and POS changes

  • Streamline the process for MTO orders & creation of MTO SKUs
