Job Description

The role of Manager - Learning and Developmentis to createand maintain structures and support for the training, professional developmentof Bhumians. This means every employee and volunteer is able to contributeeffectively towards Bhumi’s vision.

PrimaryResponsibilities include but are not limited to:

Learningand development - Design and delivery

Design and deliver training and capacity buildingworkshops for employees / volunteers that are aligned with the Bhumi’sobjectives
Working closely with various leaders acrossBhumi and having a full understanding of their programme verticals and trainingrequirements
Embracing different styles of trainingtechniques, including e-learning, tutorial sessions or coaching
Coach others, recognise their strengths,and encourage them to take ownership of their own development.
Acting as the go to within Bhumi for anyonewith questions or queries regarding training and development plans

L&DStructure and Strategy

Implement and then effectively maintain andleverage a Learning Management System
Analyze the overall impact of L&D onemployee engagement, retention, and career progression
Organize and coordinate the Learning &Development calendar
Curate thoughtful and transformativelearning journeys with blended learning solutions.
Tracks budgets, negotiates contracts,builds and maintains relationships with third-party training providers
Provide coaching expertise as a directlearning intervention and support our employees / volunteers.
Manage formal and informationcommunications for L&D team interventions to drive awareness, adoption andattendance
Assess leadership developmental need acrossthe organization- Lead the design, development and implementation of leadershipdevelopmental activities

Preferred Education Qualification/ Experience:

Any Graduate, post-graduate or fellowship
Experience in coaching or professionaltraining or organizational psychology
5 - 7 years’ Experience of working in NGOsor volunteer organizations
L&D Professionals across sectors 

Knowledge,Skills and Abilities: 

Ability to build effective learningprograms, e-learning and blended learning courses ground up
Ability to design and deliver interventionsor programmes in the Education, volunteer domain
Ability to analyse complex ideas orproposals and build a range of meaningful recommendations.
Ability to manage multiple programmes andstakeholders in parallel
Able to analyze data and metrics to makedata driven decisions
Excellent communication skills and shouldbe able to articulate your thoughts in a simple and understandable manner
Strong coaching, facilitation, andpresentation skills
Familiarity with e-learning platforms andsolutions

Reportingto: Executive Director
Scope: Full time
Remuneration: Rs.5 – 7 lakhs per annum, negotiable based oncandidate’s profile
Location: Chennai / Virtual
Minimumcommitment: Two years
