And if that’s you we would love to have you join usJob DescriptionJob Purpose:Lead & drives functional excellence in engineering solution and provide knowledge base, services and technical understanding for the “Hardware Engineering” applications as per the industry standards and its regulatory requirements.Manage all aspect of project life cycle from pre-sale proposal support and Engineering support as per the scope.He/ She will be reporting to the Engineering Manager.Must be able to work independent and handle technical tasks and activity on HW as well as any 3rd party interfaces as applicable in the projects.This may include travel for short or long term work assignments within India or overseas for customer meetings, project training and site support.Organizes and schedules job tasks with her/his team.Provides leadership to the assigned team & Drive Productivity.Manage team in terms of people development and issue resolutionManage Global stakeholder including the regional solution teams and Global Program ManagersKey Responsibilities:Deliver & execute the assigned projects on time with good quality/ cost effectiveness and customer satisfactionAbility to take on challenging tasks and be a solution provider to internal & external stakeholders & industry team on solutionsKeep improving self-engineering capabilities and exchange best practice with other team members to improve team’s capabilitiesLead technical implementation in whole life-cycle of project deliveryCollaborate & work with Technical Lead / SMEs to clarify technical issues and share workloadsAbility to present solution to the stakeholders and coordinate development tasks with team membersWork with PM for scope management, deliver execution plans & effectively monitor the execution with good quality, cost effectiveness, customer acceptance and customer satisfactionWork closely with Global Program Managers and PM for WBS developmentDevelop robust quality process & ensure strict adherenceWork closely & guide the proposal team for timely support on estimation and proposal deliveryEnsure project implementation follows the procedure of SSB standard.Drive project cost reduction through continuous process improvement, by applying and maximizing reusable engineering standards in project deliveryDrive business growth & strengthen foot print of GEC as technology CoEWork for the optimization of procurement processes and identify process improvement opportunitiesSupport in AOP planningEnsure that all audits (internal/external) are adequately documented and significant risk are dealt in a timely mannerEngage with various stakeholders to identify opportunities for increased engagement, seek feedback on deliverables and to improve overall engagementEnsures deliverables provided by the GEC are delivered within exceptional good quality on time and on budget with high levels of Internal Customer Satisfaction.Manage utilization of all resources and ensure accurate capacity planning.Responsible to manage resources appropriately and to assign right skills to the work.Job Related Competencies:Good understanding on AutoCAD, ACAD-Electrical / ePlan.Good understanding on DOL, S/D, VFDs, Soft-Starters, PLC & MCC System Designing.Good understanding of design calculations like Heat, Load, cable sizing etc.Good understanding of mechanical design of different types of enclosures (GA/Layout design).Good understanding of developing a control circuit based on the process and application requirements.Must be aware of electrical design standards e.g. IEC codes etc.High level of expertise in RA products/Hardware such as Control Logix, VFDs etc.Good understanding of Server Client architecture.Experience with at least one third party DCS, PLC, HMI, SCADA systems eachExcellent customer focusKnowledge of IT software platforms, prior hands on experience with migrations, awareness of latest updates on upcoming automation technologies (Cloud solutions, IIoT etc.) would be an added advantage eitherAbility to conduct research into systems issues and products as requiredProven record of successfully managing multiple & complex customer projects and a good understanding about Project Management.Major Commissioning Know-How experience and troubleshooting methodsHas very good interpersonal & networking skillsIs flexible / responsive to manage global needs & expectations about GEC engineering deliveriesHas effective Communication skills.Manages team performance to develop team capability and motivate the team. Create developmental plans for any identified gaps.Supports best practice sharing and knowledge transfer among teams to improve competency of whole team.Assesses and develops competency and capabilities among the team. Encourages multi-skilling within the team to ensure better utilization.Desired temperament
