We are seeking a skilled Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) with 4 to 7 years of experience to join our IT team.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing, maintaining, and optimizing Oracle database environments.

This role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities :

Database Management :

- Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle database software and related products.

- Create and manage Oracle database instances, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.

- Implement and maintain database security, including user management and data encryption.

Performance Tuning and Optimization :

- Monitor database performance and conduct regular tuning to ensure optimal performance.

- Analyze and resolve database performance issues, including query optimization and resource management.

- Implement and manage indexing strategies to improve database performance.

Backup and Recovery :

- Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies for Oracle databases.

- Perform regular backups and test recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and availability.

- Manage and maintain Oracle RMAN (Recovery Manager) for efficient backup and recovery operations.

Data Migration and Integration :

- Plan and execute data migration projects, ensuring data integrity and minimal downtime.

- Integrate Oracle databases with other systems and applications as required.

- Utilize data replication and ETL tools to support data integration needs.

Database Security and Compliance :

- Implement and maintain database security policies and procedures.

- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

- Perform regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.

Automation and Scripting :

- Develop and maintain scripts for automating routine database tasks.

- Utilize tools and scripts to monitor and manage database environments efficiently.

Collaboration and Communication :

- Work closely with developers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to support database-related needs.

- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for database issues.

- Document database configurations, processes, and procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- 4 to 7 years of experience as an Oracle Database Administrator.

- Strong knowledge of Oracle database architecture, administration, and best practices.

- Proficiency in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL programming.

- Experience with Oracle backup and recovery strategies using RMAN.

- Knowledge of Oracle performance tuning and optimization techniques.

- Familiarity with Oracle Data Guard, ASM (Automatic Storage Management), and RAC (Real Application Clusters).

- Experience with database security and compliance requirements.

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
