Job Overview V Catapult is seeking a Junior Accountant for a full-time position based in Chennai. The ideal candidate will have 1 to 3 years of experience in accounting, with strong proficiency in accounting principles and software. This role is essential in supporting our financial operations and ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations. Qualifications and Skills Tax Preparation (Mandatory skill): Ability to accurately prepare and file corporate tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax regulations and guidelines. Accounting Software Proficiency (Mandatory skill): Proficient in using accounting software to manage financial records, track expenses, and generate reports. Bookkeeping (Mandatory skill): Expertise in maintaining accurate financial records and handling ledger entries to ensure seamless financial operations. Financial Reporting: Skilled in preparing financial statements and reports to present company performance and financial position. Auditing: Capable of conducting audits to ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial records and identifying discrepancies. Budgeting: Competence in creating and managing budgets to align with company goals and optimize resource allocation. Financial Analysis: Adept at analyzing financial data to provide insights and support decision-making processes. Regulatory Compliance: Understanding of financial regulations and the ability to ensure company practices comply with legal standards. Roles and Responsibilities Assist in preparing and filing tax returns, ensuring accuracy and adherence to statutory requirements. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records through proficient bookkeeping practices. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to support management in strategic planning. Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with financial guidelines and standards. Monitor budgeting processes and provide analysis to ensure optimal financial performance. Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide recommendations for improvement. Collaborate with the finance team to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
