Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior IBM Business Automation Technical Consultant to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a decade of deep technical expertise in the IBM Business Automation / Enterprise Content Management (ECM) suite. This role is responsible for the architecture, installation, configuration, and maintenance of our customers IBM Business Automation platforms and the solutions deployed within. The consultant will lead critical projects, including platform upgrades, complex data migrations, and the modernization of infrastructure onto containerized platforms like OpenShift.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end installation, setup, and configuration of multi-node, high-availability IBM Business Automation environments, including Content Platform Engine (CPE), Business Automation Workflow (BAW), Application Engine/Content Navigator, and supporting components.
• Design, install, and configure solutions using IBM Case Manager and IBM Business Automation Workflow (BAW).
• Architect, plan, and execute complex platform upgrades for the entire IBM Business Automation stack.
• Lead and perform large-scale content migrations, specifically from legacy FileNet Image Services (IS) to modern FileNet P8 platforms.
• Manage and execute the upgrade path from IBM Case Manager to IBM Business Automation Workflow (BAW), ensuring business process continuity.
• Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot FileNet and BAW components on containerized platforms using Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, and Docker.
• Integrate the ECM platform with various Identity Providers (e.g., LDAP, Active Directory, SAML-based providers) and implement robust Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions.
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams to design, provision, and configure underlying storage areas (SAN, NAS, Object Storage) for content repositories and databases.
• Provide expert-level performance tuning, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for complex system issues.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including architectural diagrams, configuration guides, and operational procedures.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in administering, implementing, and supporting IBM FileNet solutions.
• Proven expertise in the installation and configuration of FileNet P8 (v5.x and higher), IBM Case Manager, and IBM Business Automation Workflow (BAW).
• Demonstrable, hands-on experience leading a successful migration from FileNet Image Services (IS) to FileNet P8.
• Verifiable experience in performing a solution upgrade from IBM Case Manager to BAW.
• Knowledge of, and preferably hands-on experience with, deploying and managing applications on Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, and using Containers (Docker).
• In-depth understanding and practical experience in configuring security and directory services, including integration with various Identity Providers and setting up Single Sign-On (SSO).
• Strong experience with the setup and administration of enterprise storage solutions (e.g., SAN, NAS, Object Storage) in a FileNet context.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• IBM Certified Professional certifications for FileNet P8, Case Manager, BAW, CP4BA.
• Red Hat Certifications for OpenShift.
• Strong understanding of and experience with IBM Cloud Pak for Business Automation (CP4BA).
• Proficiency in programming/scripting (Jython, Python, Shell, Java, JavaScript).
• IBM WebSphere skills and experience, specifically regarding traditional deployments of the IBM Business Automation components (FileNet, BAW, Content Navigator, etc).
• Familiarity with database administration (Db2, Oracle, MS SQL, Postgres).
• Experience with Agile development methodologies.
• Experience with AI technologies and the integration and utilisation of them within the IBM Business Automation platform.
