Lead Software Developer

- Full Stack Software Development- Design and architect new single-page web applications and develop key system features.- Explore and evaluate new technologies to advance our SaaS platform and grow our business- Lead a team that will execute projects from beginning to end, including working with product management, gathering requirements, brainstorming solutions, building final applications and testing.- Delegate tasks to team members matching their individual experience to the task to promote engagement, learning and probability of success.- Provide practical technical guidance to your product manager partner to increase the odds of overall project success.- Troubleshoot technical issues as they emerge- Escalate technical issues impacting activities outside of your team.- Enforce community best practices and team SDLC guidelines- Work with your QA lead partner to ensure the overall quality of project deliverables.- Mentor more junior developers and encourage senior developers to mentor as well.- Work closely with architects, and other teams to design and implementation cross functional requirements- Lead design and code reviews encouraging participation of your team members

Qualifications

- 8 to 10 years of software development / engineering experience- MS/BS in Software Engineering or related discipline

Technical skills

- Experience with Full Stack Software Development- Experience in Back End programming in Java, Groovy- Experience with microservice development is a plus- Experience in User Interface programming with Javascript frameworks like Angular or Ember- Experience in web application development- Understanding of relational databases such as MS SQL Server- Experience with non-relational databases like MongoDB is a plus- Familiarity with Agile process- Passion for learning new technologies- Experience with IaaS & PaaS from a cloud vendor is a plus. Azure preferred.- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is a plus
