Position Overview:

The ERP Functional Consultant (CA Qualification Mandatory) will play a key role in driving the successful implementation and optimization of ERP systems with a focus on finance and accounting modules. This position is ideal for a Chartered Accountant (CA) with a strong understanding of accounting principles and hands-on experience in ERP solutions. The consultant will work closely with clients to understand their business processes, configure the ERP system to meet their specific financial requirements, and ensure smooth implementation of the system.

Key Responsibilities :

Business Requirement Analysis :

  • Collaborate with clients to understand their business requirements, especially within the finance and accounting functions.
  • Identify gaps in business processes and propose ERP-based solutions that align with industry best practices.
  • Map client processes to ERP functionalities, focusing on optimizing financial workflows.

ERP Implementation :

  • Configure and customize the ERP system's finance and accounting modules (e.g., General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Financial Reporting).
  • Conduct end-to-end implementations of the ERP system for clients, ensuring a smooth transition from legacy systems.
  • Work closely with technical teams to ensure that the functional design aligns with the client's needs.

Functional Consulting :

  • Provide expert advice on financial management processes, ensuring ERP solutions align with clients' accounting policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in defining business process flows within the ERP system and configure the solution to meet client specifications.
  • Advise clients on best practices for financial reporting, consolidation, taxation, and compliance using ERP solutions.

Training & Support :

  • Develop and deliver training materials and sessions for end-users to ensure effective use of the ERP system.
  • Offer post-implementation support, troubleshooting, and assistance to ensure the successful use of the ERP solution.

Project Management :

  • Participate in project planning, ensuring timely delivery of ERP implementations.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders, including project managers, technical consultants, and clients, to track project milestones and resolve issues promptly.

Documentation :

  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation, including functional specifications, configuration documents, and training manuals.
  • Create and update test scripts, ensuring that the ERP system meets business requirements during User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

Key Skills and Qualifications :

  • Mandatory : Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification.
  • Experience : 3+ years of experience as an ERP Functional Consultant, specifically with finance/accounting modules (e.g., SAP FICO, Oracle Financials, Microsoft Dynamics, Tally, or similar ERP systems).
  • Experience in ERP implementations for financial modules, including financial reporting, accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, tax compliance, and auditing processes.

Technical Skills :

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and ERP system configurations, particularly in the finance and accounting domain.
  • Experience in business process re-engineering, mapping, and gap analysis within ERP systems.

Soft Skills :

  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business needs into functional requirements.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of managing client relationships and working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to train and mentor end-users, translating technical concepts into business-friendly language.
