About the role We’re hiring two newly created Distribution Design Engineer positions as part of a strategic team expansion—not replacements. These roles offer the opportunity to work across Victoria’s major distribution networks including AusNet, Jemena, and United Energy , contributing to high-impact infrastructure projects. You’ll be responsible for: Designing overhead and underground lines across Victorian distribution networks. Undertaking all kinds of Engineering Designs as directed including overhead, underground, street lighting, Industrial/ Commercial supply and 66kV projects as directed. AutoCAD drafting and contributing to technical design solutions. Taking ownership of your projects from scope stage to the final delivery. For one of the roles, protection design and settings expertise —particularly in lines and distribution substations space—is highly desirable. About You You’re a mid to senior-level design engineer with a proven track record in distribution network design —both overhead and underground. You’re confident working independently, thrive under pressure, and bring sound judgment to technical decisions. We’re looking for someone who: Has hands-on experience and expertise in VESI distribution designs especially in Ausnet, Jemena and United Energy area and have in depth knowledge of their design standards. Holds RPEV registration (Victoria); chartered status is a plus. Has in-depth knowledge and expertise in the overhead, underground, substations, street lighting, Industrial/ Commercial supply and 66kV projects. Knowledge of nPoles, Neara design, Streets Earthing and AGI32 will be highly regarded.  Is currently working in or with organisations in the Victorian energy distribution sector . Is a team player and has highly developed interpersonal, communication, negotiation and customer service skills. Has ability to make project decisions, accept responsibility, autonomy and accountability. Brings distribution protection engineering experience (Not mandatory but highly desirable).
