Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Shift-based Junior SecOps Analyst to join our growing security team. In this role, you will play a vital part in protecting our organization's data and systems from cyber threats, working in a shift rotation that covers 24/7/365 operations. This means you'll experience nights, mornings, and evening shifts to ensure our security posture remains vigilant.

Day-to-day duties include:

  • Monitor and analyze security events/threats/incidents using security management tools according to assigned shift.
  • Perform investigation and triage of events/incidents and escalate according to SOPs.
  • Keeping up to date on threat intelligence that may affect our infrastructure.
  • Performing audits of existing assets to identify weaknesses and suggest improvements.
  • Maintaining records of security measures taken and other security-related information.
  • Learning to use and monitor different Cybersecurity toolsets such as IDS/IPS, EDR, SIEM, MDM, WAF and many more.
  • Performing risk assessments to determine potential security threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Assisting Information Security team as required.
  • Maintain shift logs with relevant activity.

Reporting to : SecOps Manager

Knowledge Areas Desirable:

  • Knowledge of AWS, Azure or other cloud environments.
  • Knowledge of Networking and application level protocols.
  • Familiarity with security technologies such as firewalls, IPS/IDS, EDR, and SIEM.
  • Knowledge of any scripting language (Python, Bash, PowerShell, etc.)

Personal skills and Capabilities:

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure - particularly during a security incident or regulatory audit.
  • Displays an analytical and problem-solving mindset.

Experience/Certifications:

  • 0-1 year of SOC experience.
  • Security certifications are a plus.

Note : This role requires 24/7/365 coverage, including weekends and holidays, and is strictly work from the office. The position operates on a rotational shift schedule, covering nights, mornings, and evenings to support continuous operations.
