Roles and Responsibilities


The Cyber Security Technologist/Engineer expected to exhibit exceptional communication, analytical and organizational skills while being versatile and enthusiastic when working in a highly flexible team-oriented environment.

The responsibilities of the Cyber Security Technologist/Engineer position include the following:

·        Develops leading edge Cyber Security technology roadmap necessary to ensure system resiliency for customer mission systems.

·        Works with the Program Manager of cyber security project to manage and maintain the project's Cyber Security responsibilities including contributing to efficient resource planning, improving department standards and processes, and researching Cyber Security solutions to support program objectives.

·        Has strategized and implemented the security in multi-cloud operated environment.

·        Interfaces with stakeholders to gather requirements, recommend solutions, provide status, and manage issues/requests.

·        Consults on the design, development, integration, and analysis of cyber technologies and business solutions.

·        Identifies security vulnerabilities and needed security protection measures.

·        Ensures Systems Security Engineering Requirements that satisfy protection needs are implemented through the systems engineering process and tested through formal test events.

·        Assesses emerging threats and incorporates security review/response in requirements/design.

·        Designs, develops, and implements leading-edge analytical and technical methodologies, tools, and policies/standards to ensure a cyber-secure environment for customer organizations.

·        Implements security measures including intrusion detection and prevention, software and system security protection through application of secure design protocols and reverse engineering, and data assurance.

·        Performs network modeling, analysis, planning and may be responsible for researching and recommending network and data communications technologies.

·         Design and implement multiple secure cloud environments Design and implement a logging and alerting strategy Implementation and tuning of various AWS security services Perform threat modeling and risk assessments, where necessary

·        Take an automation first approach to various tasks and processes Audit and administration of security groups, firewall rules and other built in controls Handle the administration and day-to-day support of various cloud security technologies

·         Create and update design documents, data flows and other program documentation Help educate other teams, such as DevOps and Engineering on security best practices Handle other duties, as needed

Education/Experience: Bachelor's or Master's degree with over 12 years of experience.
