Lead - Python (Emerging Technologies)

Job Summary Synechron is seeking an experienced Lead in Python to spearhead innovative projects leveraging emerging technologies such as blockchain, IoT, and AI. In this strategic role, you will lead development efforts, mentor team members, and evaluate new technology solutions to enhance business processes. You will collaborate across teams to align technology initiatives with organizational goals, drive technological advancements, and ensure project excellence. Software Requirements Required Skills: Strong proficiency in Python (version 3.6+) for developing scalable, high-performance applications Deep understanding of software development lifecycle best practices and architecture patterns Experience in designing and implementing solutions involving blockchain, AI, or IoT platforms Familiarity with frameworks and libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or relevant AI/ML tools (preferred) Knowledge of API development and integration, using REST, gRPC, or similar protocols Experience with version control systems such as Git Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for deploying and managing applications Preferred Skills: Certifications in emerging technologies (e.g., blockchain certifications, AI, IoT) Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) Exposure to data management and analytics tools related to IoT, AI, or blockchain projects Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines Overall Responsibilities Lead the design, development, and deployment of projects utilizing emerging technologies such as blockchain, AI, and IoT Mentor and guide team members to foster technical excellence and project success Identify and evaluate innovative technology solutions to enhance business workflows and digital capabilities Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with organizational goals and technology standards Stay current with the latest trends and advancements in emerging technologies and industry best practices Initiate proof-of-concept and pilot projects to validate new solutions and drive innovation Define and oversee technical architecture, standards, and best practices for projects Support project delivery through code reviews, architectural guidance, and engineering best practices Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders and executive leadership Technical Skills (By Category) Programming Languages: Required: Python (version 3.6+), with strong coding, debugging, and performance tuning skills Preferred: Exposure to other languages such as Java, C++, or JavaScript for integrated solutions Frameworks & Libraries: Preferred: AI/ML frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras Preferred: Blockchain platforms such as Hyperledger, Ethereum SDKs Preferred: IoT frameworks and SDKs for device management and data ingestion Cloud & Infrastructure: Required: Experience deploying and managing applications on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) Preferred: Usage of cloud-specific AI/ML and IoT services (e.g., AWS IoT, Azure IoT Hub) DevOps & Automation: Preferred: Containerization with Docker, orchestration with Kubernetes Preferred: CI/CD pipeline setup and management using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar Data & Analytics: Preferred: Working knowledge of data ingestion, streaming, and analytics related to IoT or AI data flows Experience Requirements 5 to 8 years of experience in software development with a focus on emerging technologies Proven leadership experience in project management and guiding technical teams Demonstrated success in delivering solutions utilizing AI, blockchain, IoT, or related platforms Experience working in cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects Prior experience in innovative or research-driven environments is advantageous Day-to-Day Activities Lead development and deployment of projects involving emerging technologies such as AI, blockchain, or IoT Mentor and support team members in adopting best practices and emerging tech standards Collaborate with business and product teams to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions Conduct code reviews, architecture design, and performance optimization Evaluate new tools, platforms, and frameworks for potential adoption Support the prototyping and testing of innovative solutions in pilot or proof-of-concept phases Keep abreast of industry trends and participate in relevant training, webinars, or workshops Document system designs, project plans, and operational procedures Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field Relevant certifications in AI, blockchain, IoT, or cloud technologies are a plus Proven track record of leading innovative technology projects successfully Professional Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on emerging tech solutions Effective communication skills for engaging technical and non-technical stakeholders Leadership and mentoring abilities to develop team competence and project success Adaptability to evolving technology landscapes and organizational priorities Critical thinking and innovation mindset to evaluate and adopt new technologies Time management skills to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines Diversity & Inclusion are fundamental to our culture, and Synechron is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and is an affirmative action employer.
