Your responsibilities may include:

  • Contacting educational institutions: You would reach out to schools, colleges, universities, or other educational institutions to verify the authenticity of the provided documents. This could involve verifying the institution's accreditation, contacting registrars or academic departments to confirm the applicant's enrollment and graduation, and checking the validity of the documents provided.
  • Checking for discrepancies or fraud: You would carefully compare the information provided by the applicant with the verified data from educational institutions. This helps identify any inconsistencies, such as forged documents or false claims regarding educational qualifications.
  • Conducting reference checks: In some cases, you may be required to contact references provided by the applicant to validate their educational background or gather additional information.
  • Documenting findings: You would maintain detailed records of the verification process, including the documents reviewed, the institutions contacted, and the outcomes of the verification. Accurate documentation is crucial for maintaining transparency and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
