Join us in powering the progress of global aerospace.Position Responsibilities:The selected candidate for this position will work on development and support of Boeing Global Service (BGS) ecommerce applications that are used to offer various parts, products and services to Business Regional & General Aviation (BRGA) as well as Commercial Airline (CA) customers across the world. This position involves working closely with other development / support teams in India, US and other locations. The selected individual will be a part of the engineering and technology team in Boeing India.The selected individual will be highly skilled, professional engineer and would work (design, develop / test & support ecommerce applications) collaboratively with international teams comprising of software development, product management & business analysts and play a key role in ensuring BGS ecommerce applications are competitive in the market. As a UI developer, the selected individual will work with the BGS ecommerce team and work on frontend development work by using various UI technologies to develop and maintain BGS ecommerce applications as per the business needs.The selected individual would be designing, developing and testing web based eCommerce applications developed using SAP Hybris 6.x or higher & Java / J2EE / UI, SAP ERP, etc.The selected individual would need to work in close cooperation and actively aligns with the technical roadmap, interaction design, development and testing with similar teams based in USA or other regionsCreate and maintain necessary software documentation (code, design, architecture, unit testing artifacts, etc.)Keep track and actively reduce technical debts (hardening the software) while working with other developers / leads / architects / SM / PO / etc.Experience of working in Agile teams while following the Agile & SAFe practices on software craftsmanship such as test-driven development & pair programming / peer reviewsThe selected individual would be responsible to provide support to development of internal competency and resources for critical skill sets and be a sought-after expert that other developers can benefit fromThis position will support initiatives of Boeing India organization related to engineering excellence, employee development, mentoring, customer engagement, etc.The selected individual will research & provide recommendations on new technologies / trends, best practices to improve the product development activitiesThis position would require the selected candidates to learn and work on new as well as multiple tools / skills / rolesEffort distribution – development (50%), maintenance / support (50%). However, this can change in futureTravel domestically and internationally as requiredSelected candidates might have to work in shift hours (morning, general or night).Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status.Basic Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Excellent knowledge and experience in building testable, scalable, flexible, robust and efficient UI components for web based ecommerce applications using Java technologies, specifically relating to Hybris SAP (Spartacus) ecommerce platform or similar applications.Excellent working knowledge and experience in application development using Angular 8+, AngularJS, ES6 & TypeScript, React / ViuJS, Spartacus UI, SASS, PUG, JADE, SCSS, HTML5, CSS3, JQuery 3.0, JavaScript, Bootstrap, RESTful Web Services, core Java, NodeJS, Backbonejs, etc.Candidate should be able to demonstrate strong experience with building Angular based projects and re-usable modules from scratch including unit test cases (using Karma/Jasmine).Experience in performance tuning of applications and writing high performance codeExperience in writing unit test cases using Junits and write test cases using SeleniumExperience in addressing quality / security issues in tools like SonarQube, Coverity, etcExperience in secure codingExcellent knowledge and experience of Agile, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery with JenkinsCan follow the best practices on Test-driven development and improve the current test suite written using SeleniumStrong believer of Agile Methodology and DevOps ideologyEffectively resolve problems and roadblocks as they occur, consistently following through on details while driving innovation as well as issue resolutionMust have experience working with cross-functional teams spread across multiple products and locations within Boeing and external partners, across different cultures and time-zonesExperience developing Mobile applications would be a plusCollaborate effectively with a team of development engineers, QA/Testing, Build, and Project ManagementExperience in the following areas would be preferred –Familiarity with usage of Jira, Confluence, etc.Cloud based development (using Azure)Familiarity with using SAP ECC or other ERP applicationITIL practicesBachelor's degree in science, technology, applied mathematics or engineering is required and Master’s degree would be preferred.Minimum of 6+ years of experience with software development and support of ecommerce applicationsCandidates with relevant certification in UI / UX skillset would be preferredCandidates with Aviation related application development background would be preferred.Candidates with experience in SAFe Agile methodologies would be preferred.Typical Education & Experience:Typically 5 or More years related work experience.
