Hiring for a leading Freight Forwarding Company:

Job Title: Sr. Executive Documentation (Ocean Export)

Location: Mumbai (Govandi)

Senior Executive - Documentation is a key role in ensuring the smooth flow of international logistics operations. This position is responsible for managing critical documentation, coordinating with carriers and freight forwarders, and ensuring compliance with global trade regulations. The role demands meticulous attention to detail, strong communication skills, and expertise in shipment tracking and freight processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Documentation Handling:
  • Prepare, review, and submit critical shipping documents, including ISF, AMS, House Bill of Lading (HBL), Master Bill of Lading (MBL), and Shipping Instructions (SI).
  • Handle Verified Gross Mass (VGM) submissions for export shipments.
  • Shipment Coordination and Tracking:
  • Track shipments from initiation to delivery, coordinating timelines with carriers.
  • Monitor cargo movements, follow up with carriers for draft approvals, and secure service confirmations.
  • Freight and NVOCC Operations:
  • Manage Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier (NVOCC) processes, ensuring seamless coordination with shipping lines and freight forwarders.
  • Oversee timely issuance of Bills of Lading while adhering to freight regulations and contractual obligations.
  • Compliance and Documentation Control:
  • Ensure all documentation aligns with customs and trade regulations, including INCOTERMS, tariffs, and export/import laws.
  • Stay updated on carrier schedules, customs policies, and regulatory changes.
  • Operational Support:
  • Collaborate with internal teams to address shipment issues or delays and support clearance processes.
  • Maintain proper filing and archiving of shipping documents for easy access and audit readiness.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Experience:
  • 2-6 years of experience in freight forwarding, NVOCC, or export/import documentation roles.
  • Knowledge:
  • Familiarity with shipment tracking tools and international logistics processes.
  • Experience coordinating with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and carriers.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹500, ₹700,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Mumbai, Maharashtra: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Experience:

  • total work: 4 years (Preferred)
  • Ocean Export Documentation: 4 years (Preferred)
