Job Title: Azure Cloud Engineer

Location: Pune


Description :

The Transaction Processing and Settlements team is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Azure Cloud Engineer to join our team. As a Principal Azure Cloud Engineer, you will play a crucial role in implementing solutions on Microsoft Azure. You will be responsible for leading the development of cloud native Business solutions, leveraging automation, collaborating with Devops teams to build CI/CD pipelines and recommending best practices for your team. You will have a direct impact on public Cloud adoption, Agile and DevOps maturity within our Business Unit. The role will require you to be hands-on with Azure products and work across a broad spectrum of technologies, collaborating with engineering and business teams.

Responsibilities:

· Self-starter who can pick up new technologies, be comfortable with ambiguity and drive initiatives forward.

· Implement solutions that adhere to cloud security principles including Identity and Access Management, Data Protection and Network Security.

· Ability to design solutions with operational concerns in mind, including non-functional requirements such as availability, scalability, backups and restore procedures.

· Build solutions that implement Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) concepts specifically around monitoring, logging, alerting, incident management and disaster recovery.

· Architect and design cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure, ensuring scalability, reliability and cost effectiveness while considering operational concerns and non-functional requirements such as availability, scalability and backups.

· Develop Infrastructure as code using Terraform for automated provisioning and management of cloud resources.

· Collaborate with Devops teams to build CI/CD pipelines needed to deploy application code and streamline deployment processes.

· Respond to security findings identified by the security teams, implementing remediation measures to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with industry standards.

· Mentor junior team members on cloud architecture principles, best practices and emerging technologies.

Basic Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

· 10+ years of experience in core application development and implementing end to end solutions.

· 5+ years of experience working as a Cloud Engineer or in a similar role.

Preferred Skills:

· Extensive experience with Microsoft Azure cloud platform.

· Application Stack: Microservices, Spring framework, Spring Cloud, ReactJS , Docker, Azure Container Apps, Azure Functions

· Languages: Java, Python, Go

· Database: RDBMS/NoSQL using Azure Postgres, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB etc.

· Messaging: Azure Servicebus, Azure Event hub, Azure Event Grid, JMS, Kafka

· Monitoring & Traceability: Azure monitoring, logging and alerting services

· Experience using IaC with Terraform and CI/CD pipelines using Github Actions

· Database Operations (nice to have): Configuring Backups, Restores, replication and failover

· Financial Services domain knowledge will be a plus.

· Understanding of the SCRUM agile process

Certifications (Preferred):

· Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer or Azure Solutions Architect Expert

· HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate
