PDI Technician

• Inspect New Vehicles or Equipment:
• Check for damage during transportation.
• Ensure all components are functioning properly (e.g., brakes, lights, electronics, etc.).
• Confirm all factory-installed features are present and operational.
• Perform Minor Repairs or Adjustments:
• Fix scratches, tighten bolts, adjust doors, etc.
• Top off fluids (oil, coolant, windshield washer fluid).
• Software & Systems Checks (especially for cars or machinery):
• Update firmware or onboard systems.
• Program key fobs, configure infotainment systems.
• Quality Control:
• Complete PDI checklists.
• Report defects or non-conformities to supervisors or manufacturers.
• Documentation:
• Record inspection findings.
• Tag vehicles or equipment as ready for delivery.
• Detailing (in some roles):
• Clean interior and exterior.
• Apply protective coatings or plastic wrap removal.
