Position Overview The Vice President – Engineering will lead Mobileum’s global roaming software engineering organization, expected to be responsible for a subset of products under Roaming and Network Services Business Unit - Development team. This role requires a unique blend of deep telecom technical expertise and strong leadership skills to oversee architecture, design, and delivery of innovative roaming products. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building high-performance engineering teams and delivering scalable products in telecom roaming and core network environments. Key Responsibilities Strategic & Technical Leadership Define the engineering strategy for Mobileum’s roaming product portfolio, ensuring alignment with business and product goals. Provide deep technical oversight in telecom protocols, mobile core network architecture, and signalling analysis. Collaborate closely with product management, sales, and customer delivery teams to ensure solutions meet customer needs and industry standards. Drive Customer Satisfaction (CSAT) across a wide deployment base while ensuring revenue and roadmap commitments are delivered on time with high quality. Technical Expertise in Roaming & Networks Lead product engineering efforts for: Telecom protocols & technologies: SS7, Diameter, GTP, MAP, SIP, SCTP. Mobile core network architecture: 2 G, 3 G, 4 G, and 5 G. Roaming & interconnect services: voice, SMS, data, Io T/M2 M. Signaling flow analysis: troubleshooting complex call/session scenarios. Drive the design of in-path products meeting latency, uptime, redundancy, and high-availability standards. Champion CI/CD deployment methodologies. Leverage Gen AI technologies to boost efficiency and optimize costs. People & Operational Leadership Build, mentor, and retain a high-caliber, globally distributed engineering team. Foster a collaborative and innovative engineering culture. Implement best practices in software development, Dev Ops, and agile methodologies. Manage budgets, resources, and delivery timelines effectively. Required Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related field. 20+ years in software engineering, with at least 8 years in senior leadership roles. Proven experience delivering enterprise-grade software in telecom roaming and core network domains . Expert-level knowledge of SS7, Diameter, GTP, MAP, SIP, SCTP, and mobile core architectures. Hands-on experience in roaming service development, interconnect billing, and signalling troubleshooting. Strong understanding of emerging trends such as Io T/M2 M roaming and 5 G service enablement.
