Overview

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Social Studies Teacher for primary who can inspire young learners to explore history, geography, civics, and cultural studies. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in child-centered teaching methodologies and the ability to make learning engaging, interactive, and meaningful.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in Social Studies, covering topics such as history, geography, civics, and global perspectives, as per the curriculum (CBSE).
• Develop lesson plans, assignments, and assessments that encourage critical thinking and inquiry-based learning.
• Use innovative teaching strategies, including storytelling, case studies, group discussions, role plays, and project-based learning.
• Integrate technology, audio-visual tools, and real-world examples to enhance student understanding.
• Foster a classroom environment that promotes active participation, curiosity, and respect for diverse perspectives.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing individualized feedback and support as needed.
• Encourage students to explore current events and real-world applications of social studies concepts.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers, coordinators, and school leadership to enhance curriculum planning.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and classroom activities.
• Participate in school events, field trips, workshops, and professional development programs.

• Experience with experiential learning and interdisciplinary teaching.
