PLM Team Lead (Teamcenter & Mentor Graphics)

As the Development Team Lead for the PLM, you will be responsible for leading a team of technical professionals and overseeing the successful execution of projects, ensuring high-quality deliverables, and fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. Your strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and ability to mentor and guide team members will be critical in driving technical excellence and achieving project goals.

Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership and Team Management:

Provide strong leadership to the team by setting clear expectations, goals, and objectives. Motivate and inspire team members to achieve their best performance and maintain a positive work culture.

Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to team members.

Conduct Performance Reviews of team members, promoting their professional growth, development and competency within the team.

Set clear technical objectives and monitor progress, ensuring efficient workflow and timely completion of deliverables.

Should have flexibility to take different roles and responsibilities within the organization.

Requirements Planning and Execution:

Collaborate with product owners, architects and customers to define requirements, objectives, and technical specifications.

Coordinate, collaborate and work closely with operations team for deployment and development related support.

Plan product release milestones with release manager, allocate resources (if required), and coordinate tasks, ensuring adherence to release timelines and quality standards.

Monitor sprint/release progress, identify risks or bottlenecks, and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.

Conduct technical reviews and provide feedback to ensure the quality and efficiency of deliverables.

Serve as point of escalation for issues related to the services provided.

Technical Expertise and Problem-solving:

Apply your strong technical knowledge and expertise to guide the team in resolving complex technical issues and challenges.

Provide architectural guidance, design input, and technical recommendations to support implementation.

Stay updated with the latest industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, and share this knowledge with the team.

Collaborate with other technical leaders or teams to address cross-functional technical dependencies or integration challenges.

Direct enterprise effort to define architecture standards that are aligned with business goals, IT strategy and enterprise architecture visions.

Drives execution of Business Requirement along with the team including research, analysis, design, proposal, and delivery of solution.

Performance Monitoring and Evaluation:

Monitor individual and team performance, providing constructive feedback, recognition, and mentoring to drive continuous improvement.

Identify training and development needs within the team and facilitate relevant learning opportunities.

Address conflicts or challenges within the team, promoting a positive and productive work environment.

Stakeholder Engagement:

Collaborate with stakeholders, such as product owners, product managers, rollout managers, customers, to understand project requirements and expectations.

Communicate technical updates, risks, and opportunities to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, fostering trust, collaboration, and effective communication.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Education, and Experience:

Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant technical field (e.g., computer science, information technology, business informatics).

Proven experience in a technical leadership or supervisory role, preferably within a similar industry or domain.

Strong technical expertise in the relevant technologies, platforms, and tools as mentioned below.

Strong programming skills for Teamcenter client customization based on Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) using JAVA, J2EE, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, Velocity, Web-Services (SOAP and REST), Apache Subversion, Python, Shell and PowerShell.

Strong Technical Skills on Active Integration Gateway (AIG) Architecture to enable bidirectional data integration and process coupling between Teamcenter Reporting and Analytics and SAP

Strong “Teamcenter Reporting and Analytics” (TcRA) skills to support the implementation of Siemens Healthcare Project.

Perl and Command line utilities for Dispatcher Module

ITK Server Side Coding experience using C & C++ including Teamcenter Workflows.

Good knowledge in digitalizing processes in ALM and PLM.

Interfacing and Integration, orchestration of various ALM/PLM tools with/without Middleware

Good to have knowledge on tools like PTC Windchill, Teamcenter, Mentor Xpedition.

Overview on data migration including data transformation, data cleaning etc.

Teamcenter Configuration (BMIDE, Queries, Workflows, Authorization, Preferences and Active Workspace).

Teamcenter Administration and BMIDE update/deployment.

SOA based Dispatcher Module Configuration & Customization

Teamcenter Active Workspace Client (AWC)

Engineering Bill of Material (eBOM), Manufacturing Bill of Material (mBOM), Bill of Resources (BoR), Bill of Process (BoP)

Change Management Business Process in Teamcenter (CMII)

Basic knowledge of Siemens PLM NX Connected products for Modelling, Drafting and Sheetmetal etc.

Proven Expertise with Distributed Enterprise Architecture and Integration of Large-Scale Software Systems

Demonstrable experience of working in Agile SCRUM framework with SAFe methodology.

Good programming skills in Java for Plugin implementation in Mentor Capital & Mentor Xpedition and also for Teamcenter client customization based on Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) using Java.

Mentor Expedition & Mentor Capital (Topology, Logic, Harness and Library) Integration to Teamcenter.

Excellent leadership, communication, and people skills to effectively interact with team members and stakeholders.

Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities, with a focus on delivering effective and efficient technical solutions.

Familiarity with agile methodologies and software development practices.

Experience in mentoring and coaching team members to enhance their technical skills and professional growth.

Experience using Polarion within a regulated industry (medical device, aerospace, financial, automotive, etc.).

Experience on DEVOPS, Quality, IT security and ITSM-requirements.

Initiative-taker who drives pro-actively activities which are in own area of responsibility.

Being available on-call for emergency situations.

Manage service development and innovation.
