Position Overview

We're looking for a skilled and detail-oriented SDET – II to join our quality engineering team at Jarvis Technology & Strategy Consulting. In this role, you'll help design and implement robust testing frameworks to ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of our mission-critical applications.

You'll work closely with developers, DevOps, and product teams to define testing strategies, build automation pipelines, and uphold best practices in quality assurance. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks and test suites
  • Write and execute comprehensive test plans and cases for frontend, backend, and API layers
  • Collaborate with developers and product managers to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines by integrating automated tests
  • Investigate test failures, identify root causes, and verify fixes
  • Develop tools and utilities to improve the testing process
  • Promote test-driven development (TDD), behavior-driven development (BDD), and shift-left testing practices
  • Ensure proper documentation of test plans, cases, and automation scripts

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience as an SDET or QA Automation Engineer
  • Strong programming skills in JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or Java
  • Hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworks like Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar
  • Experience with API testing tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or Karate
  • Familiarity with CI/CD systems like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI
  • Solid understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices
  • Exposure to performance/load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Locust) is a plus
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities in a fast-paced environment
