Job Overview:

We are looking for a skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with experience in Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing automated tests, ensuring the reliability and performance of our applications deployed on Kubernetes, and working closely with developers to integrate testing into the software development lifecycle.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Automation Development: Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for functional, regression, performance, and scalability testing of applications deployed on GKE.

Test Strategy and Planning: Collaborate with developers and product managers to define test strategies, test plans, and test cases that align with product requirements.

Kubernetes Expertise: Utilize your in-depth knowledge of GKE to create, configure, and manage Kubernetes clusters for testing purposes.

CI/CD Integration: Work with DevOps engineers to integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline, ensuring continuous testing and deployment processes.

Test Execution and Reporting: Execute automated and manual tests, analyze results, identify bugs, and collaborate with developers to ensure timely resolution.

Performance Testing: Conduct performance and load testing on applications running in GKE environments, and provide insights to optimize performance.

Monitoring and Debugging: Monitor application performance during testing, debug issues, and provide detailed reports to the development team.

Test Environment Management: Set up, maintain, and manage test environments, including Kubernetes clusters, to ensure consistency across different stages of development.

Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including development, DevOps, and product management, to ensure high-quality product releases.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:3+ years of experience as an SDET or similar role in software testing and test automation.

Hands-on experience with Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) or Kubernetes in production environments.

Strong experience with test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, PyTest).

Experience in scripting languages like Python, Java, or Groovy.

Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.

Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker.
