Job Description:

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Manual Tester with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on testing experience in the finance domain, specifically working with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software. As a key member of our Quality Assurance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and functionality of our financial software solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive test plans based on business requirements and functional specifications for ERP software in the finance domain.
  • Must have experience in the HR module.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and align testing strategies accordingly.
  • Develop quality test scenarios and test cases based on the business requirements.
  • Perform thorough manual testing of ERP software modules related to financial processes, including but not limited to General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Financial Reporting.
  • Execute test cases, document test results, and ensure all test scenarios are covered to guarantee software quality.
  • Identify, isolate, and document defects with clear and detailed steps to reproduce.
  • Collaborate with developers and other stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of identified issues.
  • Conduct regression testing to ensure that new developments and enhancements do not adversely impact existing functionality.
  • Build and maintain an effective regression testing suite for ERP finance modules.
  • Work closely with business analysts, developers, and project managers to understand business processes and requirements.
  • Provide regular status updates and reports on testing progress to project stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
  • Propose and implement best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the testing process.
  • Utilize your in-depth understanding of finance processes and ERP systems to ensure the accuracy and completeness of testing activities.
  • Create and maintain detailed test documentation, including test cases, test scripts, and test results.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of proven experience as a Manual Tester in the finance domain, specifically with ERP software.'
  • Must have experience in the HR module.
  • Strong understanding of financial processes and ERP systems (Fixed Assets, finance, Inventory etc)
  • Should be aware of agile processes and hands-on experience with JIRA.
  • Good presentation skills for the authored test scenarios to PO.
  • Proficiency in creating and executing test cases and test scripts.
  • Solid experience with defect tracking and management tools.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
