Key Skills and Experience Required:We always support colleagues to develop their skills but to be successful in this role the following will be required by our Senior Engineers:Understand the risks associated with your job and what that means for you, M&G and all our stakeholders.You will have in-depth experience as a hands-on IT Engineer, with strong knowledge on different cloud technologies and platforms, experience with Azure is essential.You must have the Az-900 and the Az-104 certifications.Experiencing developing and deploying solutions through the SDLC (Software Development Lifecycle).Languages – PowerShell, ARM, YAML, TerraformAzure Cloud Administration – RBAC, AAD, PIM, Cloud Networks, SQL DB, Firewalls and DNSSDLC Technologies – Git, Azure DevOps (or equivalent) and CI / CD PipelinesYou will have an understanding of cloud governance, best practices and policies within Azure.You must have a problem solving mindset and the ability to troubleshoot unknown technical issues.Previous experience working in a support team is highly desirable.Proven experience in identifying inefficiencies and implementing automated solutions to overcome these.It would be desirable if you were able to use most of the following technologies and languages: SDLC Technologies – Jira, Confluence, Git, Azure DevOps and CI / CD PipelinesConfiguration Management – AnsibleSupport – Service Now and Azure MonitorLanguages – Shell, Java Script, C#, .NET, SQL, pythonOther Technologies – RedHat Open Shift, Linux, Windows, OCI, and Serverless, DatabricksAn understanding of cloud cost, capacity and optimisation with the ability to identify inefficiencies in expenditure.A solid understanding of how to configure Cloud for high scalability and resilience, disaster recovery, tight security and regulatory compliance.Proven experience in building relationships with team members and other colleagues across a businessApplicants must be fluent in both verbal and written English in order to communicate with our business users and stakeholders.As a senior engineer you will be expected to help build out our presence in M&G Global Services and as such experience of building / mentoring and guiding teams and individuals is essentialYou need to be this kind of personPassionate about providing unparalleled levels of service and automation to the cloud products that enable our businessAble to work and learn quickly in a fast pace, fun and dynamic environmentCare about doing a great job and exceeding expectations with the quality of what you doCurious to learn and develop your own technical skillsAble to both collaborate and move as a team but also be self-motivated and deliver results independently when required.Able to take ownership of issues, tasks and solutions managing them from inception to conclusion.
