Position Purpose The Position will be responsible for providing basic data to HOD for smooth functioning of process development activity for new molecules for fine-chemical business. This would include observing demo at R&D, scale up studies, preparing basic engg package, and conducting trials at commercial scale & hand over to operations. To deliver their rated capacity, quality & Input / Output norms. Strategic Responsibilities Basic work for document transfer schedule for new projects being commercialised to meet the timeline. Participation in the meetings & provide inputs as & when required by Dept. head. Operational Responsibilities Preparation of BFD for commercial scale. Preparation of PFD. RM norms calculation. Calculation of Utility estimation. Conducting trials for Solvent recovery methods as per HOD’s instruction. Basic work for Off gas handling scheme. Provide backup calculation & data for process safety. Preliminary equipment selection & sizing. Generating data for MOC studies in pilot plant /KL. Preparing SOP for commercial scale. Preparing Objectives for scale up trials, its observations, recommendations & conclusion. Identification of critical parameters & its suggestions/implementation in the plant SOP. Calculation for Time cycle. Writing control logic of process required for DCS. Financial Responsibilities Provide data for BOM to HOD for commercial scale. Contribute to budget proposals Contribute to budgetary controls within the area of responsibility. People Responsibilities To attend training programs for process engineers in PD. Provide process training (3 stages) to operation team before startup of new project. Coordination with kilo/ plant/ R&D, QC for day to day activity. Ensure smooth working of the department to maintain high morale of the workforce Continuously improve processes to ensure quality and efficiency Participate in selection of highly qualified process development team. Set goals and review performance. Identify development needs. Education Qualification Chemical/B. Tech Chemical/M. Tech Work Experience 3-5 year experience Industry to be Hired from Chemical based industry Functional Competencies Preparation of BFD/PFD, Mass balance, Utility calculations Conducting trials in the kilo/pilot plant. Demonstration of batches at commercial scale Interaction Complexity and Team Work Contact Person (mention the level/position that the position-holder will interact with) Frequency Nature of Interaction Peer(s):Head of Tech Transfer or Executive in the same or other plant As & when required Telephonic or face to Customer(s): Internal Heads & Managers of other department As & when required face Vendor(s):Not applicable As & when required Telephonic or face to
