Job Description – Network Engineer

Location: Pune (with travel as required)
Department: IT / Network & Security
Experience Required: 4–10 Years
Employment Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, implement, and troubleshoot network infrastructure including firewalls, routers, switches, and monitoring systems.
  • Manage and update configurations of DMZ switches, routers, and firewalls in line with documented security policies.
  • Monitor and review logs for DMZ firewalls, routers, switches, and Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS).
  • Administer and maintain FortiGate, Juniper, and Sophos firewalls, including security policies, VPNs, NAT, and intrusion prevention.
  • Configure and support Cisco and Hirschmann industrial switches, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Oversee and maintain Network Monitoring Stations using tools such as WhatsUp Gold, conducting regular health checks and performance reporting.
  • Perform risk assessments, patch management, and ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards and industry best practices.
  • Respond to network incidents and outages, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective measures.
  • Collaborate with IT and security teams on firewall policy management, network segmentation, and access control strategies.
  • Maintain accurate documentation including network diagrams, configurations, and change management records.

  • CCNA – Cisco Certified Network Associate
  • CCNP Security – Cisco Certified Network Professional
  • Cisco Certified Specialist – Security Core
  • Cisco Certified Specialist – Network Security Firepower
  • Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From ₹700,000.00 per year
