Position Title : Business Analyst

Salary : 5 - 12 LPA : Information Technology (IT)


Location : Bengaluru

Mandatory Skills :

Responsibilities :

Requirements Gathering and Analysis :
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives, user needs, and functional requirements for BI projects and initiatives.
  • Conduct requirements gathering sessions, workshops, and interviews to elicit and document business requirements, user stories, and use cases.
  • Analyze complex datasets, business processes, and systems to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform decision-making and drive business value.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications and user stories, ensuring alignment with project objectives, scope, and priorities.
  • Work closely with development teams to clarify requirements, provide guidance, and validate solutions throughout the development lifecycle.
Data Analysis and Visualization :
  • Perform data analysis and modelling to support BI initiatives, including data profiling, cleansing, transformation, and visualization.
  • Develop dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) to communicate insights and findings effectively to stakeholders.
  • Conduct ad hoc analysis and exploratory data analysis (EDA) to answer business questions and uncover actionable insights from large and complex datasets.
Project Management and Collaboration :
  • Manage project timelines, priorities, and deliverables, ensuring that requirements are captured, documented, and delivered on time and within scope.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders, and escalate issues as needed to ensure project success.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, QA engineers, and product managers, to ensure alignment of requirements with technical solutions and business objectives.
  • Foster a collaborative and results-driven work environment, promoting knowledge sharing, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Requirements :
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience as a business analyst or related role in the field of business intelligence, data analysis, or software development.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex datasets, identify trends, and extract actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation; experience with database systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) is a plus.
  • Experience with business intelligence tools and platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik) for data visualization and reporting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and solutions.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and project management tools (e.g., JIRA) is desirable.
