Job Description :

We are seeking a skilled Manual Tester to join our dynamic team at Programming.com in Bangalore. The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of manual testing methodologies, along with expertise in testing Rest API, Soap API, SQL databases, analyzing web server logs, and a good understanding of the Ecommerce domain. As a Manual Tester, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products.

Responsibilities :

- Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on project requirements and specifications.

- Execute manual test cases to identify defects, track bugs, and verify fixes.

- Conduct functional, regression, integration, and system testing as per the testing strategy.

- Collaborate closely with development teams to ensure timely bug resolution and quality delivery.

- Analyze and interpret web server logs to identify potential issues and performance bottlenecks.

- Perform API testing for Restful and Soap APIs to validate functionality and data integrity.

- Utilize SQL queries to perform database testing, data validation, and backend verification.

- Maintain testing documentation and reports to track testing progress and outcomes.

- Provide feedback and suggestions for continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.

Requirements :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

- Proven experience as a Manual Tester or similar role in software quality assurance.

- Strong understanding of manual testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.

- Hands-on experience in testing Rest API and Soap API endpoints for functionality and data validation.

- Proficiency in writing and executing SQL queries for database testing and validation.

- Familiarity with analyzing web server logs to troubleshoot issues and monitor system performance.

- Knowledge of Ecommerce domain concepts, including shopping carts, payment gateways, and user authentication.

- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

- ISTQB or similar certification would be a plus.
